April 14 – April 17

My 26th week as a senior in high school was actually quite chill. I didn’t get too much work and what I did get was pretty easy to do. Not much happened so I’ll keep this post as short as possible.

Although schools are closed, we still got a long weekend for Good Friday and Easter. So, Monday was a day off. I didn’t have much homework for the weekend, so I spent it cooking with my family. Monday evening, my Math teacher uploaded our work for the next day, which was about the derivatives of sine and cosine functions. I worked a little on my Writer’s Craft ISU Short Story as well.

On Tuesday, I finished the Math homework I had and didn’t get anything else from my other classes. I don’t know if I was bored or happy because there was nothing else to do. The next section of Chapter 5 was uploaded, which was the derivative of tan functions. Chapter 5 in Calculus was very easy compared to all the other chapters we’ve done this semester.

On Wednesday, my English teacher posted our next assignment, which was to make thesis statements based on the theme essay we submitted the week before. The thesis had to include our thematic statement (what the theme is) and the literary devices that helped show the theme. (Spoiler alert: I didn’t start this until 30 minutes before it was due, at 8:30 on Monday) For Writer’s Craft, we just got an update that our teacher expected our Short Story Outline by next week and then she would arrange to have a phone call with each of us. For Calculus, we were told that we should do review questions the next day.

On Thursday, I finished 5.5 (the derivative of tan) and the review, in the evening. I had no other homework that day, so I also finished the assignment our teacher uploaded around 9 PM. It was a very simple assignment because the content was even simpler.

I didn’t do any more work until Sunday morning when I submitted a short story outline for a quick idea. I wasn’t very confident about the idea and I’m glad it’s not the one I’m moving forward with.

That’s pretty much all I did the week of April 14-17. It was a pretty lazy week, which was a surprise and a relief to me. I don’t think I’ve ever had such an easy school week. Thank you for reading this. I hope you had a wonderful week as well. Stay home; Stay safe. -Aarushi
